Coaching for Change

Riders Minds are searching for 1,000 equestrian coaches who would love to make a positive difference by pledging just a few hours of their time.

Throughout October, Riders Minds are inviting coaches from across the UK to donate an amount of time of their choice, by organising a training clinic, with the proceeds going to Riders Minds.

In addition, the campaign will raise awareness of the importance of speaking about mental health, as well as the support that is freely available through the Riders Minds website, text line and free confidential phone service.

A spokesperson from Riders Minds said,

“We are incredibly proud of the work that Riders Minds has done so far, but we know that there are still some equestrians who either don’t know about us, or feel that they can’t reach out.

“Coaches are quite often a centre point in their own community, and with their help we can continue to stamp out any stigma surrounding mental health and let even more people know about the resources that are available to all.”

Riders Minds provides free mental health and well-being support to all equestrians. To find out more go to www.ridersminds.org.uk. If you need support and would like to talk to someone contact us 24/7.

Information for coaches We are asking that each coach is fully insured and responsible for organising the venue and the booking of clients for their clinic/lessons. Coaching can take place at any point in October and can be ridden, on-foot, or even online learning in any equestrian sphere. Due to the number of coaches taking part in Coaching for Change, we regret that we can’t support/manage payments from individual clients, so we are asking that you process your payments as normal. Payment of the total amount can then be made to Riders Minds via BACS. If you would like to take part please let us know via email to liz@ridersminds.org so that we can support your efforts and provide any help/answer any questions. RIDERS MINDS SUPPORT: We are delighted to provide generic images for social media use showing your pledge to support the campaign, with suggested wording for you to use.
