Riders Minds, a support organisation for rider’s mental health, recently won two awards at the prestigious This Can Happen Awards 2021.
Riders Minds is an online bespoke resource dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of all horse riders, drivers and equestrians.
This Can Happen is a mental health support organisation who launched the This Can Happen Awards to celebrate and recognise companies and individuals who have shown excellence in their approach towards positive mental health for their employees and colleagues.
Riders Minds were crowned winners of The Best Targeted Mental Health Initiative. This category celebrates mental health campaigns and initiatives that workforces have implemented for a specific group of employees or a specialist initiative to solve a particular workplace challenge.
The esteemed judging panel were so impressed by the Riders Minds entry, they were also awarded the This Can Happen Grand Prix Award for the most outstanding award entry.
Sylvia Bruce; a mental health specialist who is responsible for the content on the Riders Minds website is excited for the future of Riders Minds following these awards, said:
Winning these awards from This Can Happen, receiving such high praise and recognition from its illustrious judging panel for our passion-driven, ground-breaking work for all equestrians is the equivalent of winning the World and Olympic championships for every aspect of equestrianism all at once! This elevates, catapults even, Riders Minds reputation as an industry specific provider of much needed support, with much more to come.
The entire team at Riders Minds are delighted to have been recognised for their hard work and dedication to helping support the mental well-being of all riders. Victoria Wright, who founded Riders Minds with her late husband Matthew Wright, is looking forward to helping more people throughout the world.
I still don’t think it’s sunk in yet what we’ve managed to achieve at Riders Minds in such a short space of time. We are only a small team of six people, but six brilliant people with drive and passion can make a huge amount of difference.
To have won the award against some huge corporate organisations such as The Walt Disney Company and Bloomberg is beyond a dream come true for us and gives us the opportunity to open more doors with a far bigger global reach. The bigger reach we have, the more people we can support and help along the way, hopefully giving the worldwide equestrian industry access to our services.
